"Our church nursery provides a physically and emotionally safe environment to facilitate the healthy growth of babies and families into the image and likeness of our Creator. Our staff members serve as ministers. Everything we say and do is centered on the principles of God's Word, which tells us the value of each individual."

Noah’s Kids (Nursery)

A nursery is provided for infants 6 weeks old through age 4 for each worship service and for special events.

At University Carillon, we believe that your child’s first experiences at church should be happy and secure. That’s why we’ve developed a very special nursery where your child will be loved and cared for while you worship, meet and/or study.

In the nursery—through stories, songs and games, through kind words, smiles and hugs—we will teach your child about the love of Jesus.

There are always rocking chairs and loving arms waiting to hold your child.

We will help as you lay the foundations of faith and trust which will prepare your child for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Ministry Leaders:
Please consult the Nursery Schedule and the Church-Provided Childcare Policy when scheduling events needing childcare. Specific arrangements should be made with the nursery director.

The 10 Commandments of the Nursery
1. Fill out an information sheet on your child’s first visit.
2. Each time you come, sign in your child on the sign-in sheet.
3. Don’t leave without your name tag. (We will make two name tags—one for your child and one for you.) It is your identification to pick up your child.
4. Make sure your child’s name is on all belongings, including bottles, sippy cups, diaper bags, etc.
5. Silent Beepers are available for children in room “1” (M101).
6. Do not leave a child in any room unless a staff person is there to receive him or her. The facilities are open 15 minutes prior to all scheduled events.
7. Children showing signs of illness (see Illness Policy) should not be brought to the nursery.
8. Please pick up children as soon as possible at the close of your activity.
9. Be sure to sign out your child and leave the second name tag.
10. If your child is very upset and doesn’t seem to be adjusting well, we will beep you to come and get your child.

ALLERGY ALERT!!!
Please let us know if your child has any food allergies so we can plan snacks accordingly. Because many children are allergic to peanuts and/or peanut butter, we recommend not packing any snack/lunch items containing peanuts or peanut butter. In case of an allergy emergency, the nursery director and several staff members are “epi-pen” trained. Your children are safe in our care.

Illness policy
For the protection of all the children, parents are asked not to bring a child to the nursery who is ill. Children should remain at home if any of the following exists:
Fever above 100.5 degrees
Vomiting or diarrhea
Any symptoms of childhood diseases such as scarlet fever, German measles, mumps, chicken pox or whooping cough.
Sore throat or runny noses (except for allergies)
Croup
Any skin infections such as boils, ringworm, impetigo, etc.
Pinkeye or any communicable disease.

If your child develops symptoms while in the nursery, we will care for him or her separately and contact you immediately.

The Staff
Each nursery worker has completed a thorough application process and background check. References are on file at the church. All have been trained in nursery procedures. Also, there is always a CPR/First Aid trained staff member in each room.

Nursing Room
We have a nursing room available for nursing moms. This is a place where you can nurse your baby and still hear worship services in your own quiet, peaceful sanctuary. The Nursing room can be found right across from Nursery Room M102. Relax and Enjoy!
