When Is Canvas this year?
Canvas I – July 8-12 • 9am – 1pm
Canvas II – July 15-19 • 9am – 1pm

When will registration open?
Child, Adult and Youth Volunteer Registration
Canvas I – April 22
Canvas II – April 22

Registration will close no later than Monday, June 24 for Canvas I to allow time to prepare for camp preparation. After June 24, we will have a waiting list form available. If camp is full before June 24, a waiting list form will be available. Those on the waiting list will be emailed as space becomes available.

Registration will close no later than Monday, July 1 for Canvas II to allow time to prepare for camp preparation. After July 1, we will have a waiting list form available. If camp is full before July 1, a waiting list form will be available. Those on the waiting list will be emailed as space becomes available.

Are both weeks identical?
Yes, both weeks of Canvas camp follow the same curriculum and art projects.

My child would like to be placed with their friend. How do I request this?
One friend request can be indicated on the on-line registration form, as follows:

1. Please note both children must be registered using the on-line registration form and
2. They must request each other on their form.

* Because groups are based on instructional grade level, if the friend request is not of the same age/grade, please understand the higher grade level child will be placed in the lower instructional grade level with their friend. (example – 3rd grader and 1st grader will be placed in the 1st grade instructional grade level group.)

Please note, friend requests can not be made on the day of camp, due to the number of children attending Canvas.

Please understand that we cannot guarantee same-class placement. As it gets closer to Canvas, it becomes more difficult for us to honor requests of this nature. We will make every effort to place your child with the friend request submitted on their form, but there is no guarantee. For more information, please contact Bev Greek at bevgreek@ucumc.net.

How will I know which group my child has been assigned to?
At check-in on Monday morning. Groups are based on the instructional grade level your child will be entering during the fall of 2019. If numbers dictate, multi-grade instructional levels may be necessary. (example – 1st/2nd, 2nd/3th, 3th/4th or 4th/5th)

Again, if a friend request is made and the friend is not of the same age/grade, the higher grade level child will be placed in the lower instructional grade level with their friend. (example – 3rd grader and 1st grader will be placed in the 1st grade instructional grade level.)
